Unwind at Herold Wines
In 2011, Nico and Maureen Fourie opened Herold Wines. Nico is a self-taught winemaker pouring his heart into every bottle produced on the property, while Maureen works hard to create delicious cheese platters and pizzas for the bistro and events. Together with their passion for unforgettable stays, they have transformed their farm into a thriving winery offering families exceptional accommodation and fun activities.
Unwind from the hustle of daily life in one of the charming, revamped labourer’s cottages. Offering a tranquil countryside retreat, each cottage is fully equipped for self- catering stays with an indoor fireplace for cosy evenings together, and an outdoor braai area built to enjoy family meals in the fresh air.
The Peit-My-Vrou and Flufftail cottages are ideal for families, offering two comfortable bedrooms and plenty of space to relax together. Alongside stunning mountain views, families can enjoy evenings together in the living room or take in the views on the covered terrace. Flufftail is a dog-friendly cottage with its fenced courtyard, perfect for families who want to bring along their four-legged friend.
Smaller families will love the Tarentaal cottage, perfect for up to three guests. The cottage is equipped with the necessary items for a comfortable self-catering stay. On a colder winter night, huddle together at the fireplace in the lounge or enjoy a family meal out on the covered terrace with the mountains as a backdrop.
The Sunset cottage is the dedicated family cottage and can accommodate up to six guests. The cottage is well-suited to self-catering family holidays, with comfortable living spaces throughout.
To help families fully switch off from city life, the cottages have no TVs, and Wi-Fi and cell phone reception are limited.
