True to their motto – To Know Him, Harvest Christian School is among the top pre-primary, primary and high schools in Port Elizabeth. Based on Christian values, Harvest Christian School aims to prepare young minds for service in their society.
Thus, Harvest Christian School has built a secure and stimulating environment that ensures the safety and well-being of each child.
“Harvest Christian School was founded in 1987; this year, we celebrate 32 years of excellent education with an exciting, dedicated and committed staff,” describes Thoriso M-Afrika, Public Relations Officer at the school.
“Harvest exists to serve Christian families with whom we partner to disciple young people in a biblical worldview for growth, excellence and influence.”
The Harvest Christian School difference
M-Afrika explains that the distinctiveness of Harvest is the focus on the spiritual formation and holistic development of each child.
“This is achieved through mentorship, camps, mission trips and a biblically integrated curriculum,” she adds.
“Harvest strives to unlock the potential within each pupil and ensure that they develop good character and sound knowledge of their purpose and who they have been created to be.”
Harvest Christian School Pre-School
For toddlers to Grade R, the Harvest Christian School Pre-Primary provides the grounding they need in learning as they prepare to go to the ‘big’ school. Their Pre-Primary is a happy, nurturing Christian environment with loving, professional teachers. The classes are small with high staff complement to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
These professional teachers deliver excellent and proven Bible-based and age-appropriate curricula. Harvest Christian School also provides afternoon aftercare for pre-schoolers, and supervision and homework assistance for its primary school pupils.

“The vibrant music department offers tuition in a number of instruments, including wind, strings, drums, marimbas and piano. The two choirs are well-supported and have won numerous awards.”
Their favourable teacher-learner ratio also serves to enhance a well-balanced educational experience.
