This year, Little Eagles Play- & Pre-school celebrated 14 years of making a difference in the lives of young children, their parents and families, not only from Summerstrand but from all over Port Elizabeth.
Little Eagles believe in the holistic development of a child – every aspect of that little person needs stimulation – the spirit, mind, motor muscles, emotions, etc.
They teach children from the age of four months to six-years-old and have a Grade R programme to help prepare the boys & girls to adapt to the routines and disciplines of primary school.
The staff at Little Eagles have over 150 years’ worth of combined service. Each teacher has a desire to see every child in their classroom reach their full potential. They aim to make their children ‘soar’ as they make a difference in the world.

The children are grouped into age-appropriate small classes, being stimulated according to their programme, by a teacher and an assistant. They are given a variety of activities, learning opportunities and an environment to socialise in.
They are taught teamwork and develop compassion for others by way of the school’s Outreaches to Port Elizabeth welfare organisations, etc.
Little Eagles Play & Pre-school supports outdoor teaching days, and host fun outdoor activities such as their sports day and Family Walk & Games Day. They offer the Neuronet Programme for their 4-5y old & Grade R pupils, which helps to stimulate the neurons in the brain. At the end of the year, they host award ceremonies for all classes & a Graduation ceremony for Gr R’s.
The boys & girls will learn how to speak and understand Xhosa, learn Computer Skills and have loads of fun at a camp out when in Grade R, do very interesting science experiments and so much more!
They have their own Aftercare Centre where the children can go in the afternoons to sleep, play and enjoy some snacks. When school holidays come around Little Eagles offers a Holiday Care Facility where your kids can have fun in a safe environment with their friends.
