Harwood Promotions is an event management company, based in Port Elizabeth, which offers professional public relations and marketing services. Its forte is events and exhibitions.
The owner, Linda Harwood, is celebrating 21 years in the event management industry, which is a real milestone in the fast paced world of public relations and events co-ordinating.
Her longevity in the industry is owed to her distinctly personal service that always achieves the client’s marketing goals.
“My focus is always on personal excellent service and meeting the client’s requirements” says Linda.
Linda’s latest project is the PE Express First Choice Kids & Baby Expo, which will take place at the Boardwalk in Summerstrand from the 5th to 7th of October this year.
The PE Express First Choice Kids & Baby Expo
The PE Express First Choice Kids and Baby Expo is the biggest Expo in the Eastern Cape. Dedicated to parents and children, it is definitely the top spot for families and expecting parents to enjoy shopping and entertainment.
There are also giveaways and competitions on the hour, along with a chance of winning prizes worth R45 000.
The expo will showcase family-focused exhibitors from far and wide, who will be exhibiting their products. Visitors can enjoy all they have to offer with the comfort and convenience of being under one roof.
The first 500 children to visit each day will receive a First Choice flavoured Milki. While moms will receive a shopper bag with a competition entry form and a free family magazine. The magazine will either be- Living and Loving, Your Family, Essentials, Food & Home, SA Garden & Home, Rooi Rose or Woman & Home magazine.
What you can expect
All visitors will receive an expo day-pass wristband for multi-access to the Expo and the Boardwalk complex. Which will be a hive of fun activity as they are celebrating their 18th birthday on the same weekend.
Doors will open on Friday at 9am with all day free indoor entertainment, from shopping to fashion shows, free face painting, mini train rides, biking, cricket and creative fun. There is also a delicious café rest area to rest weary feet and tantalize taste buds.
The Café area will host the fun Kids Expo Selfie Booth with quirky props and a chance to meet and take a photo with popular characters such as Barney, Lollos & Lettie, Spiderman, Elsa, Barbie and Tinkerbell.
Local comedian and presenter, Roland Gaspar, will be hosting the event and keeping visitors up to date on the entertainment and action throughout the expo.

When and where?
The Expo takes place on the last weekend of the school holidays at the Boardwalk, from Friday the 5th to Sunday the 7th October.
Entrance to the Expo is R50 for adults and R25 for children and pensioners, with babies under 12 months attending for free.
Exhibitors at the event will include- Entertainment and fun, wellness and nutrition, beauty, education, furniture and décor, clothing and sport, creativity and crafts, photography and leisure, food and drink.
